What is Faith Bible Institute?
Faith Bible Institute (FBI) is a Bible college course for every Christian — comprehensive, college-level Biblical education for any church or individual worldwide. Students study chronologically through the ENTIRE BIBLE, verse by verse from Genesis to Revelation, and systematically through every major doctrine. Yet basic classes meet only 1 evening each week. FBI combines solid Bible teaching with an interactive video format using student workbooks, charts, 3D maps, and images to produce a unique and engaging learning experience. Church Partnership
Zero cost to the host church. A school needs only a TV, DVD player, meeting space, and 10 students to launch. FBI handles curriculum, testing, and student records.
*A modest shipping fee applies when the school returns its DVD set to Faith Bible Institute at the end of the semester.
Hybrid Delivery
Video-based classroom instruction combined with online testing and printed workbooks (Translation students will access digital workbooks). Designed for both in-person group study and online learning.
College-Level Credit
36 credit hours over 6 semesters — three 2-credit courses per semester, 17–18 weeks each. A college-level (freshman & sophomore) program open to all: no high school diploma required, and those with advanced degrees are welcome. High-school students may dual-enroll if within 3 years of their anticipated graduation date and at least 14 by December 1 of the current school year — no exceptions below these age or grade requirements.
Affordable Tuition
One of the most affordable Bible colleges around: $160* first semester, $115* each subsequent — textbooks included. Immediate-family members at the same address may qualify for a 50% family discount on core-curriculum tuition (does not apply to electives). There is an additional $60/semester fee for students enrolling in the Online Only category. The full 3-year course costs less than one semester's textbooks at most schools.

Choosing a Director
One step to starting a school is choosing a Director to facilitate the class. Before the semester begins, FBI ships your Director everything needed to launch the class — textbooks, workbooks, and access to video courses. The Director's role is to promote the class, sign up new students, and set up the classroom and equipment for each session. That's it!
Whom should I choose?
Choose a Director who is responsible, dependable, and able to fulfill these duties in a timely manner, and preferably someone other than the pastor. We've found that husband-and-wife teams often make the strongest Directors, but the most important thing is choosing someone you trust — someone you and your spouse believe God is calling to lead this ministry in your church.

Dr. John T. Yates
Founder · President · Core Curriculum Instructor
Founder and instructor of Faith Bible Institute since 1985, he has taught verse by verse through the entire Bible 13 times. Author of FBI's 14-volume commentary set on the Old and New Testaments and 4-volume Theology set, plus works on Bible Prophecy, Angels, Scientific & Biblical Creationism, Personal Evangelism, and Discipleship Evangelism. Holds a Doctorate in Religion from Faith International University, an MA in Religion & Counseling from Liberty University, and post-graduate studies in Israel. He began preaching in 1978 at age 15 and was senior pastor of Rowland Road Baptist Church in Monroe, LA from 2001 to 2024.

Doctorate in Bioethics from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. MDiv from Liberty Theological Seminary. Taught at Liberty University for over 20 years. Developed curriculum on Apologetics, Theology, Biblical Languages, and Biblical Worldview. Has taught at the Word of Life Bible Institute in South Korea since 2013.

PhD from the University of Aberdeen. Has taught archaeology at Oxford University and Liberty University. Part of the team that discovered and excavated Dead Sea Scroll Cave Q12 in 2017. Led excavations at Qumran, Temple Mount, Shiloh, and the Tall el-Hammam site in Jordan.
